Cleveland, OH, United States (AHN Sports) – Miami Heat forward LeBron James said he’s not ruling out the possibility of returning to his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers in the future, the All-Star disclosed Thursday.

James, who spent seven seasons with the Cavs before joining the star-studded Miami Heat in the summer of 2010, said he’s open to play again for the wine-and-gold in the future.

“I had a lot of fun times here. You can’t predict the future. Hopefully you continue to stay healthy. I’m here as a Miami player and I’m happy where I am now but I don’t rule that out in any sense. If I decide to come back, hopefully the fans will accept me,” James told ESPN Thursday.

Averaging 28.0 points, 6.8 assists, and 8.2 boards for the Heat (23-7), James will be making his first game on his former home floor — Quicken Loans Arena – against the Cavs (11-16) this season.

“I think it would be great, it would be fun to play in front of these fans again,” James told ESPN following the Heat’s practice Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena.

The two-time MVP added he’s skirmish with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert was a thing of the past and insisted very much open for reconciliation.

“I don’t hold grudges, I hold them a little bit but I don’t hold them that long,” James told ESPN. “He said what he said out of anger. He probably would want to take that back, but I made a mistake, too. There’s some things I’d want to take back as well. You learn from your mistakes and move on.”
